Prescription Drugs and You

Prescription Drugs and You is a public health awareness campaign by Prevention Action Alliance. The tagline, “Everyone has a role in prevention,” emphasizes our collective responsibility to safely use, secure, and dispose of prescription drugs. This campaign gives you the resources you need to raise awareness about the risks of prescription drug misuse as well as the behaviors needed to reduce those risks. It supports the protective factors in your community and provides opportunities to build awareness of your organization.

We created Prescription Drugs and You to support communities and organizations across all 50 U.S. states. Neighborhood coalitions, employers, municipalities, other government entities, colleges and universities, schools, and others all benefit when people are empowered to protect themselves, their families, and their communities from prescription drug misuse.

The campaign includes fact cards, posters, magnets, medicine logs, and even a first aid card for prescription drug poisonings, all of which are designed to help you educate and empower the community you serve. The Prescription Drugs and You membership will help you take your campaign to the next level by giving you PowerPoint presentations, social media graphics, an infographic and digital flyer, press release templates, a customizable letter to the editor, brandable newspaper and billboard ads, and guides to creating your own Public Service Announcements and press conferences.
