The Ohio Youth Led Prevention Network is committed to building and expanding partnerships between youth-led substance misuse prevention programs and developing and strengthening misuse prevention efforts at the state and local levels. It is our mission to provide a foundation for schools and communities to promote a positive, safe environment for today’s youth and tomorrow’s future youth.
On April 19, 2018 we will host our 7th annual We Are The Majority Rally youth from all over Ohio. Each year, we shut down the streets of Downtown Columbus to march to the Statehouse to make our voice and our mission heard. The majority of youth in Ohio, aged 12-17, are NOT participating in substance use, physical violence, and ARE leading the way in promoting mental health wellness! The rally allows youth from all over the state of Ohio to come together to celebrate living a healthy, positive lifestyle.
In partnership with the Ohio Start Talking! initiative and through a grant from Verizon, we’re also pleased to invite Ohio middle and high school students to keep their peers drug free by participating in the Start Talking & Start Recording: Ohio’s Youth Got Talent. If you are an Ohio middle school or high school student who has a creative talent and is looking to earn money for college, this opportunity is perfect for you.
