Please join us on May 15th for the Annual SPCA Meeting. This will be a celebration of all the great accomplishments coalitions across Ohio have had over this past year. Both SPCA members and prospective members are welcome to attend. The Annual SPCA Meeting will include presentations from coalitions, state updates, a guest speaker, lunch, and opportunities to network with other coalitions in Ohio.
The meeting will run from 10AM – 2PM with lunch served from 12-1. Registration begins at 9AM.
During this meeting we will be joined by Lynn Silver, MD, MPH, of the Public Health Institute in Oakland, CA. She will be speaking on her experience with creating local ordinances on marijuana legalization and how their efforts can inform the work our coalitions need to be doing in the upcoming months. Please visit Getting It Right from the Start here for more information.
The Annual SPCA Meeting will be located at the beautiful Franklin Park Conservatory in the John F. Wolfe Palm House. Registration includes free access to the Conservatory’s many exhibits for the entire day, including the butterfly room, gardens, and their current exhibit, Field, a 46’ long ecosystem projected on the gallery walls, where grasses and flora grow based on their bodies’ position and movement in the space. For more information on the Franklin Park Conservatory, click here. Note: The Palm House is a working greenhouse and the temperature of the room is determined by the weather outside. There will be air conditioners running before the event, but please dress accordingly.
