Guiding Growths

  • Teach mindfulness techniques like body scans or peaceful breathing to help your son or daughter that they can maintain calm when faced with a frustrating situation or difficult circumstance.
  • Model non-violent techniques at home when things get tense. Be direct, non-judgmental and use “I statements” to explain your frustration, aggravation or how someone upset you and listen too.
