Coalition Learning and Development Center
The Coalition Learning and Development Center (CLDC) is designed to streamline efforts and support coalitions' success and well-being. Its mission is to empower coalitions across Ohio and the country, helping them overcome challenges and celebrate successes. CLDC brings together the expertise of coalition leaders from the Statewide Prevention Coalition Association (SPCA), subject-matter experts (SMEs), and the training resources of Prevention Action Alliance's coaches and mentors to offer an approachable, comprehensive, reliable, and encouraging resource for all coalition needs and questions.
Building Stronger Coalitions: The Coalition Learning and Development Center’s Role in Success
At Prevention Action Alliance (PAA), we recognize the many important responsibilities coalition leaders juggle—reporting, membership, community engagement, retention planning, meetings, prevention frameworks, information dissemination, sustainability, and marketing. Managing these demands can feel overwhelming.
In response to feedback from prevention leaders, SMEs, and coalition members, we’ve developed a customizable coalition-centered system designed to provide meaningful support.
Through CLDC, coalition leaders will have access to:
- Experienced coaches and supplemental learning opportunities for guidance and mentorship
- Access to Prevention Action Alliance's staff and trainings that are offered to help with foundational coalition needs
- Peer-to-peer learning through SPCA meetings and virtual roundtables
- On-demand learning modules covering coalition-specific topics
PAA is confident that this new system, which was designed and guided by coalition feedback, will strengthen coalitions by providing the resources and connections needed to thrive and grow.
