Serving on the Prevention Action Alliance Board of Directors is a meaningful way to help shape our mission of leading healthy communities in the prevention of substance misuse and the promotion of mental health wellness. Serving on our board is both rewarding and impactful, offering opportunities for personal and professional growth. We welcome individuals who are passionate about prevention and committed to making a difference in Ohio communities.
Board member responsibilities:
- Serve a three-year term (with the option to serve a second term if re-elected)
- Attend at least three of the four quarterly board meetings
- Participate in one agency event annually
- Serve on at least one committee
- Stay informed about committee matters, prepare for meetings, and review and comment on minutes and reports.
- Support strategic initiatives, including fundraising and outreach
- Make an annual contribution to the agency's unrestricted fund
If interested in becoming a Prevention Action Alliance board member, please review the Board Application Form. Applications are reviewed by our Board Engagement and Recruitment Committee, and a majority vote elects new members.
