To encourage youth and support strong families and communities, try incorporating the Guiding Growth tips below into your daily routine

Practical Principle: Family Boundaries

Family has clear rules and consequences and monitors the young person’s whereabouts.

Guiding Growths

  • Clear expectations during a crisis like COVID-19 are the best way to maintain individual and family rules. Keeping a daily regimen, calendar, or schedule of activities outlining social time, school time, and family time will help maintain household structure.
  • With everyone being together 24/7, incidents of frustration, cabin fever, or anger are bound to go up. Take this opportunity to, as a family, remind, re-establish, or re-write house rules and then re-commit to maintaining and enforcing them as a family. “Everyone has a role in family management.”
