Learn More About The Jennifer Corinne Hrobuchak Endowed Scholarship

The Jennifer Corinne Hrobuchak Endowed Scholarship honors the life of Jennifer Corinne Hrobuchak, a bright young woman who lost her life in a car crash caused by a driver under the influence of cannabis. Jennifer, a standout lacrosse player and graduate with a degree in Intelligence and Analysis Research, was just starting her career when the accident occurred. In her memory, Jennifer’s mother, Corinne LaMarca, created this scholarship to support students working to make the world a safer and healthier place.

Learn About the 2025 Jennifer Corinne Hrobuchak Scholarship Recipient

Miami University student Jada Kramer has been named the inaugural recipient of the Jennifer Corinne Hrobuchak Endowed Scholarship.

Currently pursuing a dual major in Public Health (Policy) and Psychology with a minor in Gerontology, Jada maintains a 4.0 GPA and is part of Miami’s prestigious Prodesse Scholars Program. Her passion for prevention and advocacy shines through in her work as a Mental Health Peer Educator, Undergraduate Research Assistant, and Chief of Staff for Miami University’s ASPIRE office, where she coordinates student advocacy efforts at the state and national levels.

“Jada represents exactly the kind of changemaker this scholarship was created to support,” said LaMarca. “Jennifer believed deeply in justice and making a difference in people’s lives. It’s incredibly meaningful to see that legacy continue through Jada’s work.”

In addition to her academic achievements, Jada has interned with PreventionFIRST!, supporting community coalitions with substance misuse prevention strategies, and will study diplomacy and human rights across Europe in 2025, engaging with international courts and NGOs. Her research on mental health stigma and her leadership in suicide prevention education reflect a deep, ongoing commitment to improving lives and systems.
