Every day, teens are bombarded with messages telling them what to do, how to look, and who to be with. Some of these messages depict teens using drugs and romanticize mental health issues. The reality, however, is that the majority of teens do not use drugs. Instead, many teens are leading their peers in preventing substance misuse and promoting mental health wellness by getting involved in youth-led prevention.
We at Prevention Action Alliance created the We Are The Majority Rally to celebrate the positive choices many youth make about drug and mental health and to counter the false perception that most young people use drugs. The 9th annual We Are The Majority Rally will be held May 5, 2020 in downtown Columbus. It’s a free event, open to all middle and high school students in Ohio.
