The We Are Change Rally has been celebrated for over a decade. Each year, thousands of young people from across the state convene in Columbus, Ohio, to show their commitment to a healthy lifestyle, deconstruct the stigma around teen substance misuse, and support one another with like-minded individuals.
As youth environments have evolved, young people have a greater awareness of overall mental well-being and its influence in disrupting substance use/misuse.  Healthy youth are empowered youth, and the We Are Change Rally encourages youth to become change agents to create positive change for themselves, their peers, and their communities.

We Are Change Rally 2025 | Empowering Growth - Youth on the Move

The 2025 We Are Change Rally brought together hundreds of youth from across Ohio for an energizing and impactful day in Columbus. With a renewed sense of purpose, the rally celebrated youth commitment to healthy lifestyles, mental well-being, and substance misuse prevention.

A major highlight of this year’s event was the return of the march around the Ohio Statehouse—a powerful tradition of OYLPN’s past 12 years. Back by popular demand, the march reignited the spirit of unity and action, as young advocates raised their voices in support of positive change.

The rally also showcased four inspiring passion projects led by youth groups from across the state. These innovative initiatives demonstrated the creativity, leadership, and drive of Ohio’s young changemakers working to uplift their communities.

A special moment of the day was the presentation of the Marisa Smock Award to Hannah Berisford, a bright and inspiring young woman whose dedication to prevention and Mental Health wellness embodies the spirit of Marisa Smock the We Are Change movement.

As always, the rally stood as a powerful reminder that healthy youth are empowered youth, and together, they have the strength to create lasting change.
